“A busy mind has no time to think, an unhealthy body spends too much time healing, and a woman that is not comfortable in her own clothes will ultimately portray that through her actions”, says Karina. At twenty-four, Karina is an entrepreneur building her business as a fitness specialist and nutritional consultant training private clients throughout Seattle-Bellevue. She believes, your health and your confidence is physically and psychologically pivotal to living a happy and healthy lifestyle.
As an entrepreneur, a partner, and most importantly a mother Karina expresses the importance of her new found philosophy she breaks down in a mantra:
Purity, Discipline, Balance.
“Fill your body with purity” says Karina, from the food you consume to the actions you decide to bring upon yourself, your family, and colleagues. “The human body is beautiful and powerful thing. If you keep your mind, heart, and body pure then your body will do its job and keep you healthy.”
Additionally, Karina believes that discipline encourages growth and is arguably the most important one of all characteristics, “Life is hard and it always will be. Life is a never ending journey of problems and without discipline how can we ever expect to confront them all? And without confronting and fixing our problems how do we ever grow spiritually and mentally?”
Last in her mantra Karina believes balance is everything. “I use to over plan believing that if I was everywhere at once I can conquer more ground. That was just ridiculous. I burnt out faster than Elijah (her son) can blow out his birthday candle.” She credits the few and close people in her life especially her partner, Jacob, in teaching her how to “work, play, and rest in grace”.
“This world is smaller than it seems and I believe you meet people for a reason. In these ever so vast industries and all its communities that comes along with it I’ve had the pleasures of meeting Tori at a social event. Just two entrepreneurs sharing our love for what we love to do”.
Karina states three tips: pure & natural everything, comfort, confidence.
I use organic and natural products for EVERYTHING from shampoos, lotions, and makeup. To keep my hair full and have beautiful natural texture I use sea salt spray. At first it could seem difficult but you’ll find your self spending less money on natural products and the bonus is you’ll find your skin and hair more vibrant from freeing it from artificial chemicals and in turn you’ll age slower.
Being comfortable in your clothes goes without saying. As a fitness trainer I sometime critique what my clients wear because range of movement is key to achieving fitness goals. Same goes for office and street wear. Why restrict your body from doing what it’s made to do? Even if you're sitting at a desk most of the day.. Help your body by keeping the blood flow circulating by wearing Lululemon work slacks, they look clean and classy yet comfortable!

That leads to confidence. Your confidence can bring you to many places in life. You are just as comfortable in your clothes as you are in your skin.. Here are a few things I learned working for Stacy London’s Westfield Style Tour:
a.) Black is universally slimming. Wearing the right black top can make your waist line appear slimmer. ;)
b.) Use pattern’s to make illusions. Me, for example, I have a naturally petite frame hence I have to use my clothes to create ‘curvy’ hips.
c.) Accessories makes an outfit complete. Even when wearing athletic clothes I wear a leather bracelet or my simple crystal necklace to feel polished!
